Plus Size Medic Kit by Blue Force Gear
The Micro Trauma Kit NOW! - PLUS+ is a medic kit that is more than just an expanded version of the popular MTKN. In order to replace the proprietary mini trauma dressing and compact chest seals of the MTKN with full size components, the BFG design team reshaped the outer pouch and inner shingle to offer the most streamlined package possible. The PLUS+ medical pouch comes in ESSENTIALS, PRO and ADVANCED fill levels. The MTKN!-PLUS+ is available with a MOLLE med kit mount.
The MTKN!-PLUS+ offers the same high speed access and security for the trauma first aid pouch gear as the other MTKN! and TKN! med pouches by virtue of the inner med pouch shingle detaching instantly from the outer pouch with a pull of the ambidextrous tabs.
What is the Plus+?
Although they look similar, there is a major difference between this medical pouch and the Micro Trauma Kit NOW! By making the outer pouch 30% larger while tapering its sides and adding “Angel Wings” to the inner shingle the PLUS+ can accommodate a 6” pressure dressing and a pair of full-size chest seals. This allows for a full-featured med pouch that can hold medical components from the BFG online store or from your supply room or other medical component distributors.
High Speed Access to Trauma Kit Gear
High speed access to your trauma kit gear is critical in tactical environments. That is why the entire BFG MED Trauma Kit line was developed – to save lives! The MTKN-PLUS+ allows for instant deployment of med supplies by pulling the Ball Loaded Index Point™ (BLIP). When deployed, the medical supplies lay organized and secured on a sheet of high-performance ULTRAcomp® laminate. The MTKN-PLUS+ is not your typical IFAK Pouch, it is more while being less. Less ounces, less cubic inches, less difficult to deploy, less time between access and treatment.
MOLLE Med Kit Mounts
Whether Law Enforcement / First Responder, Military, Sportsman or Prepared Citizen – the PLUS+ is for you. The Helium Whisper Attachment system MOLLE med kit mount will attach to whatever gear you carry into the field. The MOLLE attachment uses an advance system called Helium Whisper® for Battle Belts to Plate Carriers. Helium Whisper reduces the weight by over 40% compared to traditional systems.
Better than the typical IFAK Pouch

Essential Medical Supplies
The ESSENTIALS Fill Level has just what you need to address the #1 cause of traumatic death - BLEEDING. Designed for those who have a minimal level or no medical training, the medical components in the ESSENTIALS fill allow for bleeding control and hypothermia prevention. Most people don’t realize that hypothermia often follows a traumatic injury and can cause death. It is always best to include a primary tourniquet with a trauma kit for life threatening bleeding from an extremity. The tourniquet should be carried separately from the trauma kit so that it is readily available to the provider in case they are injured and have to self-apply the tourniquet.

PRO Medical Supplies
Designed primarily for First Responders, the PRO version is equipped to treat life threatening bleeding while bridging the time gap between injury and arrival of advanced medical providers. Paired with a tourniquet, the PRO kit allows for treatment of extremity and junctional bleeding with a minimal amount of training. Usually belt worn in the small of the back, the PRO contents were selected to allow the flattest configuration possible for those long shifts seated in a vehicle. The PRO fill includes QuikClot Combat Gauze LE which requires medical approval for purchase.
