Battle Belt Hanger
A Personal Anecdote From Industry Friend, Chris Sizelove
Always Better® | April 10th, 2025
My duty belt was the bane of my existence when “the day” ended. It was an awkward, bulky mass I had to deal with the moment I took it off. Tossed in a corner, draped precariously over a chair, or crammed into a bag full of more storage friendly stuff, my fully loaded belt was always a disorganized, potentially damaging (to other gear around it) mess. It was a clunky, uneven beast everywhere except when worn. Enter the Blue Force Gear Belt Hanger.
Before, "storing" my belt was less about storage and more about damage control. Shoving it into a bag meant gear shifting around odd spaces, pouches getting compressed, and the nylon getting folded in unnatural ways. Hanging it by a single point, like looping it over a coat hook, just exacerbated the problem, putting stress on one section of the belt and causing a crease. The result? A gear laden belt that was constantly misshapen, potentially weakened, and certainly not being cared for with the respect it deserved. And if I’d been out in the rain or even just sweating heavily, the risk of mold and its accompanying odors settling into the damp material is always present.
No. F’ing. More. Who would have thought to just make a big, beautiful (said in a President Trump voice) hook that attaches to the buckle so we can just hang the thing, and solve multiple problems at once? BFG. That’s who thought it. And how?
Finally, a purpose-built method and piece of gear that actively helps prevent damage both to the belt and any pouches, gear, pistols, holsters, chem light dispensers, etc. By supporting the belt evenly, it minimizes stress on stitching, and the belt material itself. Pouches aren't compressed or rubbing against each other in awkward positions, reducing wear and tear. The hanger keeps everything in place, so gear isn’t getting scratched or scuffed from being piled on top of each other. This isn't just about aesthetics; it's about ensuring the reliability and functionality of my essential equipment. A damaged belt is a safety risk, and the Blue Force Gear hanger is a proactive step in preventing that risk. Plus, it gets it off the ground and out of the way. The Belt Hanger is a no brainer and an all-around win.
Learn More about the Battle Belt Hanger
I'm Chris Sizelove, and this is the Blue Force Gear Belt Hanger.
I’ve got—well, I don’t know—four or five different belts for various reasons. I’m sure you all do too. But when you leave them piled up on a table, stuffed in a gear cubby, or hanging on the back wall, it's not exactly optimal. So, we thought, what would be a better solution? A belt hanger that directly interfaces with the buckles on your belt.
This is the Blue Force Gear Belt Hanger. It offers two mounting options: one that works with the male piece of a Cobra buckle and another designed for Blue Force Gear buckles that come on the Grid Belt.
CHLK® and GRID® Pro Cobra Buckle Mounting
Let’s start with the Cobra option—super simple. If you've ever been on an airplane, you’ll figure this out quickly. Here's my duty belt. I don’t want to coil it up and leave it lying around, so I just clip it into the Cobra buckle on the hanger. Now, I can hang it neatly on my gear wall, in my cubby, or wherever makes the most sense.
GRID® Belt Nylon Bucke Mounting
If you have a Grid Belt with the Blue Force Gear Buckle, no problem. The buckle interfaces perfectly with the two slots on the belt hanger, providing the same effect.
Now, this isn't an earth-shattering piece of technology, but if you have multiple belts and need an efficient way to store them, we’ve found that hanging them—especially Grid Belts and Chalk Belts—is far better than coiling them up and shoving them into a bag. Of course, there will be times when you have to do that, but if you can keep them cleanly hung, that’s the way to go.
The Blue Force Gear Belt Hanger—simple, effective, and built to keep your gear organized.
