Hunting Rifle Sling | Hunting Shotgun Sling

The Hunting Sling brings the combat-proven quality of the Vickers Sling into a simple, and easy to use sling to fit on traditional sling swivels found on a rifle or shotgun. The Hunting Sling is extremely durable, easy to install, and offers quick adjustability from carrying to shooting.

Sling Swivels for Attachment

The Hunting Sling mounts to the front and rear of a long gun with included side release swivels that fit on common shotgun and rifle studs. The sling swivels are ‘captive’ which means the hardware will not fall off, misplaced, or misconfigured.

Hunting Shotgun Sling: Mossberg 590 Sling

Shown as a Mossberg 590 sling, this hunting shotgun sling will work with similarly built shotguns with a sling swivel stud on the front and back. There are instructions below on how to put this sling on the firearm. If you are looking for different shotgun sling attachment and mounting options for a Remington 870 - checkout this sling article.

Hunting Rifle Sling: Remington 700 Sling

Here, used as a Remington 700 Sling, this hunting rifle sling works great on long treks or when climbing a deer stand and more. As it can easily be adjusted for a secure carry position on the back. Those who are looking for a similar design with padding, check out the Custom Padded Vickers Sling with Side Release Swivels; additional rifle slings can be found here.

Easy Sling Adjustability for Carry to Shooting

The overall length of the Hunting Sling is 26 inches when fully tightened, and 46 inches when fully loosened. When tightened, the sling keeps your shotgun or rifle secure and close to your chest or back and when loosened, the sling is free enough to be shouldered and fired. This is perfect for long hikes or when having to climb a stand.

sling on a savage mark II 22 cal rifle

Posted by Sam on Aug 9th 2021

I use this sling on a savage mark II 22 cal rifle has a nice look very comfortable adjust easily and quickly. I have used about a year now and you can't beat the quality. The only thing is it will not tighten all the way down on this short rifle about an inch long but I still love it and wouldn't change. Buy it you can't beat it

Just received my second Blue Force hunting sling! These are the only slings I want on my hunting rifles. Better than any other sling I have ever tried.

ARs and this was my first "hunting" sling

Posted by Ken on Aug 9th 2021

After using this sling on several hunts, I have to say this sling is awesome! I have used more expensive slings that were not near as good. Very durable, quiet, and easily adjust with one hand! I have several Blue Force Gear slings on ARs and this was my first "hunting" sling and I love it! I will purchase more of these and will use them on all my hunting firearms. Thank you for the great products!

    very rugged

Posted by Rick on Aug 9th 2021

When I first received this sling I was disappointed to see the nylon hardware. After using the sling for awhile, I want to say it appears to be very rugged. I have enjoyed this sling. It is simple in design, adjusts easily and I think it is an excellent value.

    nylon hardware

Posted by Jim on Aug 9th 2021

I prefer the nylon hardware as it does not scratch the gun and weighs less than metal while still being more than strong enough for the job. In addition nylon does not rust and is more smooth and easier to adjust than more abrasive metal hardware. Thanks for the great products Blue Force!

    Met my wants/requirements perfectly.

Met my wants/requirements perfectly. Wanted a tough, simple, easily adjustable sling without flaps and straps and buckles and doo dads at a fair price.

    This sling is Mucho Hooah!

Posted by Ken L. on Oct 8th 2020

I have several Blue Force Gear slings. So, when I needed a sling for my hunting rifle, I looked at them first. I was not disappointed! This is absolutely the best hunting sling I have ever used. Very durable in all weather, super easy to adjust in an instant, quiet, and comfortable on the shoulder. For a hunting rifle, I believe it is a must have!

This sling is great for a shotgun

Posted by DaveS on Oct 23rd 2019

This sling is great for a shotgun. It is easy to use. You can tighten up the slack of the sling so it is not all over the place. It is my favorite sling for a shotgun.
