PLATE6® (PLATEminus 6) by BFG

PLATEminus™ V6 is built with the same fully MOLLE compatible MOLLEminus platform as the original PLATEminus™. This provides fully modular load carriage capability but significantly reduces weight and bulk over traditional armor carriers. PLATEminus™ V6 is designed to hold ESAPI/SPEAR armored plates and has fully enclosed plate pockets which protect the plates. “Plate6” provides users with built-in 6”x6” side plate pockets and cummerbund side closures. It also has a flat admin pocket behind the front loop field.

6" x 6" Side Plate

Plate6: Side Plate Pockets - available in a low profile version without side plate pockets and adjustable side straps for low threat environment or side plate pockets that fit 6” x 6” hard armor side plates secured with a Ten-Speed® cummerbund for a more secure fit and to hold extra mags or equipment.

BLIP™ feature on the Side Plate Pockets

The Ball Loaded Index Point, or BLIP™ for short, is a feature found on all our lidded pouches. The BLIP was born in the freezing rain on a Blackwater range. It was there we realized that when you can’t feel your fingers, it’s very difficult to get a grasp on a flat piece of webbing and distinguish a pull tab. The ball doesn’t rely on friction; the bones in your fingers positively engage it. BLIP’s form is both easy to pull and impossible to miss.

The back of the PLATEminus 6 Armor Carrier has eyelets designed for running radio antenna's to cables through and connecting communication devices without extra gear needed, as seen in the gallery.

Pouch to Strap

The carrier is fully adjustable for the user size with adjustable hook and hoop secured shoulder straps and adjustable side straps. A large pattern matched loop field on the front can be left empty or used to display name, department, or flag patches.

    Best I've ever seen.

Going from an Eagle Ind. SPC, to this lightweight beauty, has been a godsend. I'm used to cordura everything, so I was skeptical of this technology. It was as if I lost 15lbs. I've now switched to pretty much BFG everything.

    Best Plate Carrier

I ordered this plate carrier and it's an excellent product. Build quality and stitching is top notch while still being light weight. For those looking for a light weight plate carrier option that you can put side plates in should definitely order one.

    I love it but..

This is a really nice vest and you can definitely feel the quality and how light it is! but I do not like how the cummerbund works where you have to lift up each side (1 at a time) and mess around with the velcro placement. I find myself taking a couple minutes to fix them to get them right (I don't know I'd love to hear if there's a better way to do this)
