The COBRA Buckle Upgrade Kit includes the buckle, a color-matched ULTRACOMP buckle-to-belt tether, and the attachment hardware required for the conversion. Keep the GRID Belt and equipment layout you already use. Upgrade the buckle without replacing the complete system.

The COBRA buckle uses an adapted stab-lock mechanism for smooth engagement and secure lockup. Once connected, the buckle is designed to prevent unintentional opening. The release tabs provide deliberate, quick-release operation when you are ready to remove the belt.

No. The upgrade does not make the GRID Belt load-rated or approved for tethering, restraint, climbing, rappelling, fall protection, or other life-safety applications.

The Buckle Upgrade Kit features the patented next-generation COBRA® ProStyle buckle, adding quick-release functionality and a heavy-duty aesthetic. The adapted stab-lock guarantees a smooth locking mechanism, prevents unintentional opening, and provides quick-release functionality.
